It’s ok to Pause…

t’s ok to pause and feel the feels when things just feel off friend…

You don’t have to blow sunshine on days you need to allow the rain to come…

I woke up excited to kick off my new program today. Got crushed by my workout (that’s a good thing) and then started my day as the kids woke up…

And even though everything is ok I felt this heaviness…my home feels empty.

Two of my kids are away all week at camp and it feels strange for them not to be here

My oldest just left to spend the afternoon with a friend

My hubs is at work all day

And I’m here with the 4 youngest super grateful for the way they chase each other around and laugh with such joy…

And feeling a little heaviness because time is flying.

I can’t be with my family in SC as my dad grieves his brother passing

I can’t go to see my family and friends in New Orleans this week as we had originally planned

I am here. Things are good. But I’m a little sad and what is different and that is ok…

Don’t rush these moments. Don’t label them as bad.

Let the rain come. It waters the seeds of gratitude that you can’t plant in times of “heaviness”

And that will bear fruit when the sun comes back out.

So if you feel this friend…grab a cup of coffee and sit and give thanks. The rain is good. As is the sun. We need both to grow ❤️❤️❤️
