Why NOT Me?

Why NOT Me???

I used to think of this phrase as a response when someone accomplished a great thing in their life by worldly measures, instead of saying “I could never do that” you asked the question “why not me?”

Then this past year when my friend Elise passed away from cancer I was reminded when she was diagnosed instead of staying “why me?” She said “why NOT me?” And she taught the world how through great suffering and challenge (which as we world we seek to avoid) God can work miracles beyond the greatest achievements on earth…

I’ve been pondering that a lot friends.

How we can flip suffering and the daily challenges into a powerful prayer…

Instead of begging God to take it away…asked Him to use it for good…

He uses all things for good. Even the things we on earth runs way from in fear. When we face them in grace He uses those instances to break us open and let His light shine out…

Don’t be afraid to offer it up. Don’t be afraid of the suffering. Offering it as a prayer does not mean you are asking for Him not to remove the obstacle…it means your asking for the Grace to face it and move through it rather than around it.

Just some thoughts as I drove the kids today….

What small thing can you offer up today???
