When you look through my windows what do you see?
Many many fingerprints, that is certain.
Some days fogged glass due to dropped temperatures and then a smiley drawn in the dampness by little fingers.
Why do windows matter?
Their transparency allows light to enter. It allows the world to be seen…
Or if you are standing in my front yard you can see inside my home.
As I sit and pray this morning I am looking at this window behind my yrrrr and the way the lights reflect in it…I am reflecting on the windows of my heart.
I desire to be clean. To be pure. To be holy…on the inside.
Why? So that when you look into my heart. My home, you see light, you see peace, you see Jesus.
I cannot give what I do not have…so this morning I sit before my tree and I ask the Lord to make me a vessel, a manger, a window…
Take my Stoney heart and warm it..
Help me see the fingerprints on my once “spotless” window as markings of life…your life that you have breathed into my home.
Help me to hear you and to follow you more and more each day.
And all in all Lord, thank you for loving me where I am and guiding me closer and closer to that place of peace my heart longs for…that peace found in YOU.
