“Do your kids eat everything you eat?”
I get that question a lot. The short answer is no…and then yes.
At first they were not particularly excited about removing some things from our daily menu.
But over time as they see me eat it and dad eat it…they open up more. The key to me is choices.
I will NOT cook multiple meals each night…but I do cook one main dish we all can have and then have sides that are options.
For example. Last night we had Pork roast…and for the sides we had carrots, steamed broccoli, asparagus, and corn. They could pick 2.
Some pick one…some eat meat…but eventually when you are hungry (or desert is waiting) they will eat something colorful.
It’s all about baby steps and patience!
