Why do I get myself into these situations???
I say yes to something, and then when I go to prepare I feel so little, so unqualified?
Can you relate at all…
Well, for this mamma of 6 that feeling has been in the pit of my stomach for the majority of my life. So why do I keep stepping into these assignments, these mini-opportunities?
It is where growth happens.
When we step out of our Comfort zone and stay in our Gift zone, the Lord Multiplies the loaves and fishes of our little life and accomplishes great things.
That mountain that needs the faith of a mustard seed? That can be us…each time we trust more in God than we do in ourselves, we step into the opportunity, we grab ahold of his Fatherly hand and trust completely in him…
He moves a mountain.
Here are the mountains he has moved in my life:
Fear of failure
Fear of Marriage
Fear of Motherhood
Fear of judgment
Fear of food
Fear…of you name it.
and what is at the top of each mountain?
Freedom rooted in Truth. The truth I am loved. The truth I am worthy. The truth that I am not damaged beyond repair. The truth that HIS mercy is new every morning…
and this is not “MY TRUTH”, this is “THE TRUTH”, so it applies to you as well.
So when I say to myself “Here I go again…this is hard Lord, how am I going to move this mountain?” He says to me “Step aside and trust me as I guide you on this adventure, and be prepared to struggle, to doubt, and to even slip and fall along the way. Be prepared to be amazed at the view up top…and don’t forget to enjoy the journey with me because when you stay focused on me as your guide…no matter what happens I will provide your soul with an unsinkable peace…I love you and you are safe with me”.What adventure are you avoiding?
It can be as big as starting a business, writing a book, volunteering to lead a ministry, starting a non-profit, starting a family…
It can be as small as saying yes to organizing your life, doing the laundry, carpooling, sharing your perspective at a book club, posting something life giving or positive on social media to offer hope…
Either way…with the faith of a mustard seed…reach out and take his hand and trust him to MOVE MOUNTAINS in you along the way. When you feel his gentle tap…turn to your Heavenly Father, Look up to him, trust the request and step out in faith…
But first….Take his Hand in Faith and remember he is with you.
What will you find at the top of that Mountain? I would love to hear from you as you grow and embrace Freedom in your journey.
Love & Peace
